The Sudelfeld ski area is one of the most popular and largest winter sports regions in Bavaria and stretches around the municipality of Bayrischzell at 800 metres up to the Vogelsang mountain at 1,563 metres. Ski passes are available in half-day and day versions. There are discounts for groups. The prices are staggered for adults, young people and children. Hourly tickets are available to ski vacationers for two to six hours. Points cards can also be used to collect discounts.
In general, Sudelfeld is very snow-sure in winter, as most of the slopes are located at an altitude of between 1100 and 1500 meters. Snow clouds approaching from the north often stick to the mountains. In addition, several snow-making systems are available. 63 percent of all posts can be covered with snow. Here, hearty classics of Bavarian cuisine, but also South Tyrolean delicacies are served. Pizza, pasta and international classics are of course not missing. There are a total of 13 locations to choose from. In summer and winter, many athletes come to the “Brösel-Alm” at the Burghotel Sudelfeld. The SNUKI children’s area at the lower end of the Sudelfeld and the Bayrischzell winter adventure park promise games, sports and fun for the little guests.
