The surrounding impressive park was the idea of the royal Prussian garden artist Peter Joseph Lenné. The castle was once the residence of the noble Hahn family.
A monastic town on Lake Kummerow
The walls of the monastery town of Dargun at the northern tip of Lake Kummerow are mighty.
